Smokey is wonderful.  He is right here with me now.  We are still working on the bed issue, getting him to stay on the foot of the bed.  Sometimes it works, sometimes not.  We’ll get it.  He loves napkins and paper towels, so we are trying to keep them out of his way and I’ve learned how to keep to keep him from eating food on the counters by putting it into the oven or microwave until I can clean up.  He loves to cuddle, is always with us on the couches at night when we read and watch TV.  He loves to burrow down in our spare bedroom bed and computer room couch sometimes when we sleep.  Pillows all over!

He has a lot of good commands that someone spent time with him in his previous life.  Sit, lay, lay stay and shake.  The one that always gets us is fetching the newspaper.  It gets us every time!  We are still working with the trainer.  We have so much glass in the house that we are working on his barking.  He loves walking around the lake and the dog park.  He socializes well with other dogs off leash in the park.  He just loves riding in the car.  We take him in the car everywhere we can and he fully expects to go!

We are feeding him a cup and a half of Science Diet dry food mixed with two tablespoons of ground up chicken in the morning and again at night with a couple of little dog biscuits between sometimes.  He sure loves to poop though!  Every time we take him out almost he poops!  Cracks us up!
