Success Stories > 2012 Successes > Larry
Larry is doing very well and has been a joy to have in our home! He has required his fair share of effort but it has been well worth it. Larry has issues with separation anxiety and was initially difficult to leave alone. We hired a behaviorist and was a tremendous help in teaching us how to show Larry where his place was in our pack. The separation issues have improved. He had stomach issues so switching him to a grain free diet did the trick. Larry has more energy than any dog I have ever met. He can literraly run all day. We run with him on most days. Christine was able to teach Larry to run on our treadmill on the days we cannot run him ourselves. We can now walk him on a leash without pulling. He loves playing catch and likes to bury things in the woods. He gets along well with our other dog 13 1/2 also a rescue. Does well with our children. We were initially committed to keeping Larry out of our bed but we finally gave up. He's a pretty good snuggler. Thank you again for the opportunity to bring Larry into our home and our family! He has renewed our faith in rescue and what a little love and hard work can do for a dog in need of a permanent home
